Sport Horses for sale:
The following horses are in Huntsville, AL (256) 883-9814.
REDUCED - 2004 Gelding - Bay - General Withers Barrage - Sire: General Withers, Dam: Audacious Twigg by Hell Cats' Reveille. Motion, looks, and show horse ways. A very tall mature guy who came back from the trainer's barn the end of January. He will mature over 16 hands, I think, and just might be suitable for a sport horse. He should slow gait and rack without too much difficulty but is a very strong trotter. He has the pizazz to be a show horse, but has a beautiful, kind eye and will undoubtedly be a pleasure to own. REDUCED - 2000 Mare Miss Molly Twigg - Liver Chestnut. Sire: Bugle Notes (sired by Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy out of West Point on Parade by Command Attention, dam Plainview's Hiawatha (a sister to Five Gaited World's Grand Champion, Plainview's Julia). Dam: Ohbygollymissmolly by Our Grey Dawn. She is big, has a lot of motion front and rear, pretty and has quite a hook - looks 5-gaited, but could easily be an excellent sport horse. Loves to free jump. Molly has had 30 days riding and is under saddle for walk and trot at this time. If you can train, she could be a real bargain for you. She has a slight toe out in the front. The farrier trims her and we have never had a problem with her hitting herself. (I see this through my judge's eye and many people would not notice it.) Click for picture
2005 Filly - Bay - Fairlawn's Wind Song - Sire General Withers by Our Grey Dawn, Dam Audacious Twigg by Hell Cats' Reveille. She will probably mature around 16 hands. She has show horse ways with a big motor, good looks and so much motion. She will be a show horse! She has been in Kentucky in training with Ashley Isenhower but since the market is down, I had to bring her home for financial reasons. Click for picture
2005 Filly - Grey - Listen To The Wind - Sire Wingate's Chindit by Hell Cats' Reveille, Dam RSVP by King's Melody Man. Wingate is 18 years and RSVP was 23 years. (Unfortunately, she died in 2006.) This one was worth the wait! She trots level on both ends and has the sudden acceleration at the trot of a true gaited horse. She has a shoulder and headset that breeders dream of. Her sire is a full blood-brother to Merrill's Marauder, who was Kentucky County Fair Fine Harness Champion and placed third in the World's Champion Kentucky County Fair Fine Harness class. She is pure class. She is not for the timid trainer; does not need a heavy hand, but requires patience and thoughtful training. She could be tough if mishandled, but we honor her desire to be dominant every now and then, so have little trouble with her learning. The trainer is very complimentary and since he is a Western rider, he is very proud that she is beginning to neck rein - a sign of intelligence and workability, I think. She can adapt to your desires. Click for picture
REDUCED - 2006 Filly - Chestnut - Rosemary Twigg - Sire Wingate's Chindit (blood brother to Merrill's Marauder) Dam Ohbygollymissmolly by Our Grey Dawn. She is a gorgeous little power house packed with motion, ability and beauty. She has that Look At Me attitude. Her bloodlines are very old and incorporate direct lines to King Barrymore, Jack Twigg, and Kalarama Rex with lots of Wing Commander thrown in. She would sure make a grand broodmare to bring back some of the old American Saddlebred qualities. Click for picture
